Dr. Earl Wurdell founded Muskoka Animal Hospital in 2005 after relocating to Huntsville from Southern Ontario, where he had practiced veterinary medicine since graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1988.
With more than three decades of experience, Dr. Wurdell continues to provide part‑time veterinary care at the hospital he built, offering the same commitment to practical, compassionate medicine that shaped the clinic from its earliest days.
While he enjoys all aspects of general practice, Dr. Wurdell has a special interest in veterinary dentistry and is dedicated to helping pets maintain oral health and comfort. His approach has always emphasized clear communication, evidence‑based care, and a calm, reassuring presence for both pets and their families.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Wurdell divides his time between Huntsville and Florida, and enjoys travel, time with family, and exploring the natural beauty of Muskoka.
