Cat Fecal Exam

A fecal parasite screen is a test done on a stool sample and tested through our in-clinic lab by our RVTs.

How is a fecal parasite screen performed?

Fecal screens are performed using a microscope, as there are parasites we can’t always see with the naked eye, like roundworms, hookworms, or whipworms.

What is the best method for collecting my cat’s stool?

We have fecal containers that you can collect stool with. Alternatively, any container or Ziploc bag is suitable.

How much does a cat stool test cost?

For pricing, please contact the hospital and we will be happy to provide you with a quote.
