Dr. Lauren Bowler

I chose the veterinary field after working in a wildlife rehabilitation centre in South Africa for 4 years. I was frustrated with not being able to adequately treat injured and ill animals and knew I needed to learn more! I studied at Murdoch Veterinary School in Perth, Western Australia and graduated in 2017. While studying I found a love for companion animal medicine and surgery, however I always hold a special place in my heart for exotics and wildlife. I love most aspects of my job at Muskoka Animal Hospital, including meeting new clients and their lovely pets, as well as working amongst a wonderful, positive team.

Fun fact: After living in Australia for many years, I’ve learned to hold kangaroos from behind (under their arms) to avoid being kicked!
